Go Live in 3 Steps!

• Step 1 – You implement our ads.txt file

  • Responsible Party: Publisher
  • Timing: It just takes a couple of minutes, so implement this as fast as possible.  The quicker you can do this, the sooner we can connect demand.
  • Ads.txt background and instructions can be found here.

• Step 2 – Demand, CMP and Payment Info
  This is a three-parter: While we secure demand, you implement a CMP and set your account up for Payment

  • Demand - Once you’ve added our ads.txt lines to your ads.txt page, we send your domain out to our exchange partners for approval.  
    • Responsible Party: Underdog Media
    • Timing: Typically, it takes about a week to get your domain approved and linked to our foundational demand. Once this is complete, we send you your tag.
       
  • CMP -  If you have traffic in California or the EEA, a CMP (Consent Management Platform) is required to monetize that traffic.  While we connect demand, you set up a CMP.
    • Responsible Party: Publisher 
    • Timing:  This should only take about 10 mins.

  •  Payment Set-Up -  Fill out one of these tax forms W-9 / W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E (depending on if you are US or Non-US based company/individual) AND our Vendor Banking Form and email forms to [e-mail].
    • Responsible Party: Publisher 
    • Timing:  This should only take about 10 mins.

• Step 3 – Go Live!

  • We will send you your tags for implementation once we have 3-5 exchange partners linked and ready to start buying (this will take about a week).  All you need to do is set the tags live and start earning at this point!
    • Responsible Party: Publisher
    • Timing: Tag implementation is easy - start earning as soon as you go live!  Takes about 10 mins.

• Once you are Live – Optimization and Additional Demand

  • Optimization: ENG, desktop, chrome, and android traffic perform best on our network, so the more you send of that type of traffic, typically the better performance will be.  
  • Additional Demand: Once your domain is live we have a few additional exchange partners that will audit your site and link more demand.
    • Responsible Party: Publisher & Underdog Media
    • Timing: 2-4 weeks after going live.  There is a "settling in period" where demand partners optimize into the rates they will give you for your tag and domain.
